A service that offers individualized supports for clients to learn or maintain an identified life skill in one of the following areas:

1. Self-Empowerment

2. Safety Awareness and Self-Advocacy

3. Interpersonal Effectiveness and Effective Social Communication

4. Coping Strategies Regarding Everyday Life Challenges

5. Managing Daily Tasks and Acquiring Adaptive Skills


Community Engagement

  • One-on-one service
  • Increase a client's CONNECTION to and ENGAGEMENT in community supports
  • Client and provider will develop CREATIVE, FLEXIBLE and SUPPORTIVE resources and relationships
  • Develop SKILLS that will facilitate INTEGRATION into the community

Staff & Family Consultation

Alternative Living Services*

  • Assistance to families and caregivers - not direct service with the client
  • Help to meet the needs of the client as outlined in their care/service plan
  • Opportunity for discussion with family and caregivers with the intent of assisting them to improve upon or implement skills that they will use to better support the care of the client

Person-Centered Plan Facilitation*

Alternative Living Services*

Help an individual maintain or increase independence at home and in the community by working on goals in the following categories: 

  • establishing a residence 
  • home living
  • community living
  • health and safety
  • social activities
  • community integration
  •  protection and advocacy
  • other training as identified in the individual’s person-centered service plan

Person-Centered Plan Facilitation is a way to bring you and all of your supports together at once for the creation of an interactive map of who you are and what you want to do in your life. Here are the steps in the process of Person-Centered Plan Facilitation: 

  • Explore what matters to you by listening to and learning from you
  • Develop a vis

Person-Centered Plan Facilitation is a way to bring you and all of your supports together at once for the creation of an interactive map of who you are and what you want to do in your life. Here are the steps in the process of Person-Centered Plan Facilitation: 

  • Explore what matters to you by listening to and learning from you
  • Develop a vision for your definition of a meaningful life which may include things like goals for education, employment, housing, relationships and recreation
  • Discover things you already have in your life, and with your family, neighborhood and support network
  • Generate an action plan. 
  • Facilitate follow-up meetings to track progress toward goals

adps Disability Services was founded in 2023 in response to a need for more developmental disabilities support services in Kitsap County - especially around the Port Orchard area


adps staff's experience includes work with residential and social service agencies in the capacity of in-home caregiving, supporting activities in the community,

adps believes the best relationships with clients and families are built on a foundation of trust and healthy boundaries. Listening well and working at the client's pace are essential to success!
